Six Philippine companies joined the list of Forbes Magazine’s Global 2000: World’s Best Employers.

Six Filipino companies have been included in the list Forbes Magazine 2000’s “World’s Best Employers”, or the list of employers that were given positive assessments by their employees.

The said employee-friendly companies that joined the list are:

• Ayala Corp (No. 18)
• BDO Unibank Inc. (No. 23)
• Metrobank (No. 69)
• Aboitiz Equity Ventures (No. 320)
• Manila Electric Co (No. 321)
• SM Investments (No. 448)

While business tycoon, Henry Sy’s SM Investment Corp., landed on the 448th place, his banking arm, BDO Unibank got the 23rd spot. In fact, it is one of the leading regional banking firms that made the list based on a report posted on Forbes’ official webpage.

Forbes came up with the result after asking employees all over the globe to evaluate their employer, whether they would recommend their employer to their friends or their family members. Employees were also asked to identify the companies they appreciate.

The giant computer service company and Google-parent, Alphabet, once again took the top spot with its $98.9 billion total sales, followed by Microsoft on the second and Japan Exchange Group on the third place.

According to Forbes, Alphabet’s employees cited approval with the company’s outstanding image, working condition and diversity.

Forbes list was based on its 2017 Global 2000 rankings of companies from 58 countries.
