NBI to Start Issuing Multi-purpose Clearance by October

Probably In an aim to extend the coverage of NBI clearance, as well as to save time and resources of applicants, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will start issuing multipurpose clearance by October.

According to news reports, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will no longer require people applying for an NBI clearance to choose the purpose of their application.

Under the said memorandum issued on September 4, the NBI Director, Dante Gierran, claimed that the agency has changed the format of its NBI clearance form to the current bearing the phrase “Issued for whatever legal purpose”, instead of a definite purpose like local or overseas employment or travel abroad.

The agency will starting issuing the new multi-purpose clearance on October 2 and will cost P115 in line with a directive issued by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.

"All existing NBI clearance forms shall be utilized and consumed for this purpose using the NBI clearance printing program to be deployed by the ICTD (Information and Communications Technology Division),"
