In his speech, Duterte assured that his being a lawyer and a former prosecutor, he is quite familiar with his limits of power and authority as President. He further guaranteed that he knows what is legal and what is not. Thus, his adherence to due process and the rule of law will be uncompromising.

While others acknowledged Duterte’s comments, others expressed their cautious acceptance.

Duterte – the country’s 16th President will take the country’s highest position in the palace for six years.
